Lebanese-Canadian R&B, pop and hip hop singer Sari Abboud, better known under his stage name Massari was born on December 10, 1980 in Beirut, Lebanon. He moved in Canada when he was 10. At first his family lived in Montreal, later they moved in Stittsville, Ontario, where he is currently residing. Massari is a slang word meaning “money” in Lebanese dialect of Levantine-Arabic. He made his debut in 2002 releasing his first song “Spitfire”. It received local airplay but didn’t go on further. Massari continued his music career and 2005 saw his debut self-titled album. The album appeared to be very successful. It was certified Gold in Canada and became a springboard for his international success.
