Terence Edward Parsons, better known under his stage name Matt Monro was a successful English singer born on December 1, 1930 in Shoreditch, London, England and died on February 7, 1985 in London. He was a true international star giving successful concerts around the world during the 1960s. He reached the true international fame at the beginning of the 1960s. Before pursuing music career he was a bus driver. Joining the BBC Show Band he began his way to the fame. He reached the popularity in the United States as well, as in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Middle East, Africa etc. He was “Top International Act” according to the Billboard magazine. Some of his hits are "My Kind of Girl" (1961), "Softly as I Leave You" (1962) and the title song from the James Bong film From Russia with Love (1963).
