Matt Nathanson is an American folk and rock singer-songwriter. He was born on March 28, 1973 in Lexington, Massachusetts. His music style is considered as a blend of folk, rock and country with elements of soul and blues sounds. He is also known for his collaboration with Mark Weinberg who is a member of the bands such as Crumb and Gratitude. He achieved mainstream success with his most popular hit single, "Come On Get Higher", which reached number 3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks, number 9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Top 40 and number 25 on the U.S. Billboard Pop 100. In 2007, he released his most commercially successful album, Some Mad Hope, which debuted at number 60 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number three on the Top Independent Albums. It also contained the singles, "Car Crash", "Come On Get Higher", "Heartbreak World", "Gone" and "Wedding Dress".
