Biography

Russian-American pop-rock singer-songwriter Michael Bolton (real name Mikhail Bolotin) was born on February 26. 1953 in New Haven, Connecticut, the United States. He changed his surname in order to gain more popularity and rose to fame with a song How Am I Supposed to Live without You which was written for Laura Branigan. Propelled by such success he wrote songs for such celebrities like Cher and Barbara Streisand. He reached the international success hitting the top spot of the American charts and having received several Grammy Awards for cover versions of 1960s soul hits, like When a Man Loves a Woman. Last his hit single Said I Loved You… But I Lied was released in 1994 and two months later, he went into a legal trouble about one of his songs.
