Biography
Miles Davis, birth name Miles Dewey Davis III, born on May 26, 1926 in Alton, Illinois, the U.S. and died on September 28, 1991 in Santa Monica, California, the U.S. He was an outstanding American jazz trumpeter, composer and bandleader. He is one of the founders of different jazz genres like fusion, bibpop, cool jazz and many others. Unlike many jazz musicians, his activity was limited in one genre and his works were in different styles. 50 years of Davis’ work defined the jazz sound for three generations of listeners. His recordings allow us to follow jazz development since 1940s till contemporary experimental styles. One of his works In a silent Way was included in the list The 25 Most Influential Ambient Albums of All Time.
