Morphine was an American alternative rock, indie rock and experimental rock band that was formed in 1989 and consisted of Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, Billy Conway and Jerome Deupree. The band's instrumentation was quite unusual, Sandman's primary instrument was a two-string bass guitar (with both strings usually tuned to a 5th or octave interval) played with a slide. Colley played primarily baritone saxophone, along with soprano or tenor saxes, and the rare bass saxophone, and he sometimes played two saxes at once, a la Roland Kirk. From our site you may download Morphine's compilation album, The Best Of Morphine, in mp3. This album chronicles the bands first four albums, Good, Cure For Pain, Yes, and B-sides and Otherwise, and includes two previously unreleased tracks: "Pretty Face" and "Jack And Tina".
