Biography

Mudvayne is an American alternative metal, progressive metal and rock band that was formed in 1996 by Chad Gray, Greg Tribbet, Matthew McDonough, and Shawn Barclay, and currently consists of Chad Gray (lead vocals), Greg Tribbett (guitar, backing vocals), Ryan Martinie (bass, backing vocals) and Matthew McDonough (drums, percussion). They rose to fame with their commercially-successful album, L.D. 50 (2000), which has been certified gold by the RIAA. The album also yielded three hit singles, "Dig", "Death Blooms" and "Nothing to Gein". The album's lead single, "Dig", peaked at number 33 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and it also won the MTV2 Award at the MTV Video Music Awards. The follow-up singles, "Death Blooms", peaked at number 32 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
