American Southern rap group Nappy Roots comes from Bowling Green, Kentucky. The group was founded in 1995 and the current line-up consists of Skinny DeVille, B. Stille, Ron Clutch, Big V and of Fish Scales. The group released their debut album independently. Soon after the release, they were signed by Atlantic records. The debut studio album came out in 2002 and became the best-selling hip-hop album of that year. "Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz" was certified Platinum and spawned three singles "Awnaw" (featuring Jazze Pha), "Po' Folks" (featuring Anthony Hamilton) and "Headz Up". The next album Wooden Leather came out in 2003, reaching less attention. The band successfully returned in 2008 with their critically acclaimed album The Humdinger. The album features guest appearances of Anthony Hamilton, Greg Nice, Greg Street and Slick & Rose. You can download this album by Nappy Roots in mp3 from our site.
