Biography

Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) was born on October 18, 1979 in Camden, Arkansas, United States. He's an American pop/R'n'R singer, songwriter and record producer. He collaborates with various artists, writing songs for them. His works include Rihanna's "Unfaithful", Beyoncé Knowles' "Irreplaceable", and he wrote songs for Whiney Huston, Celin Dion, Ciara and Enrique Iglesias. Apart from this he has a very successful solo career being nominated for Grammy Awards two times. His hit number one from his debut album In My Own Words is "So Sick". It started from #1 in the Billboard 200. Other his hit singles are "Closer" and "Miss Independent" from the last album Year of the Gentleman. All Ne-Yo's albums are available to download from our site in mp3. Ne-Yo supported Barack Obama for the US president alongside Goo Goo Dolls.
