Patty Griffin, birth name Patricia Jean Griffin was born on March 16, 1964 in Old Town, Maine, the United States. She is an American singer-songwriter covering such genres like folk, folk-rock, Americana and alt-country. She has received a prestigious award from Americana Music Association as Best Artist of the Year and for the Best Album (Children Running Through).
