Biography

The Pussycat Dolls (PCD) is an American pop and R&B girl band that was formed in 1995 as a burlesque troupe and currently consists of Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Nicole Scherzinger and Melody Thornton. They quickly gained popularity in 2005 with their first album, PCD, which was produced by Ron Fair, Timbaland, Cee-Lo Green, will.i.am, and Rich Harrison, amongst others. The album yielded six hit singles, "Don't Cha" (featuring Busta Rhymes), "Stickwitu", "Beep" (featuring will.i.am), "Buttons" (featuring Snoop Dogg), "I Don't Need a Man" and "Wait a Minute" (featuring Timbaland). The single "Stickwitu" was nominated for "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" at the 49th Grammy Awards in 2007.
