Biography

Robert Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003) is an English rock, blue-eyed soul and pop rock singer-songwriter. He began his music career as a member of jazz-rock fusion band Dada, which also contained singer Elkie Brooks. But very soon Dada disbanded and later Robert joined rhythm and blues band, Vinegar Joe. This band received good critics reviews and caught the attention of Island Records label. As a solo singer he gained popularity in 1985 with his commercially-successful album, Riptide, which has been certified Platinum two times and produced his most successful hit singles including "Riptide", "Hyperactive" and "Addicted to Love". And now, you may download Robert Palmer's album, Riptide, in mp3 from our site. His next album, Heavy Nova, was released in 1988 and also was certified Gold in the US. The album's lead single, "Simply Irresistible", reached number one on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
