Rory Block (birth name Aurora Block) is an American country blues music singer and guitarist. She was born on November 6, 1949, in Princeton, New Jersey. She appeared on the American country music scene in the late 1970s with her EP, You're the One, which brought her a contract with Rounder Records label. After this deal, she began recording her debut album. High Heeled Blues was released in 1981 and contained the singles such as "Walking Blues", "Travelin' Blues", "Got To Have You Be My Man" and "Devil Got My Man". Fives years later, she released her most successful album, I've Got a Rock in My Sock, which spawned her most popular singles including "Send the Man Back Home", "Moon's Goin' Down", "Gypsie Boy", "I've Got a Rock in My Sock" and "Foreign Lander".
