Sarah Buxton is an American country music singer and songwriter who was born on July 3, 1980, in Lawrence, Kansas. She emerged on the American music scene as a lead singer of the Southern rock band, Stoik Oak. This band toured throughout the US for several years. During this time, she caught the attention of the managers from Lyric Street Records and she quickly signed to this label. In early 2006, she released her debut hit single, "Innocence", which reached number 31 on the U.S. country charts. At the same year, she released her first EP, Almost My Record, which also yielded the singles, "That Kind of Day" and "Love Is a Trip". She came to international prominence with her self-titled album, which spawned her most successful hit, "Outside My Window".
