Biography

British band Scouting for Girls comes from London, the UK and was founded in 2005. The founding and the current members are Roy Stride (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Greg Churchouse (bass guitar) and Peter Ellard (percussion). The band’s genre is pop, pop rock and indie rock. They emerged on the British music scene in 2007 releasing their debut and commercially successful self-titled album. The album reached number one on the UK Albums chart and received 2 x Platinum certificate. The album spawned several hit singles like "She's So Lovely", "Elvis Ain't Dead", "Heartbeat" and minor hits "It's Not About You" and "I Wish I Was James Bond”. The band was nominated for three BRIT awards in 2009. In 2010 they released their next album titled Everybody Wants to Be on TV.
