Biography

English punk rock band Sex Pistols was formed in London, England in 1975. The band’s line-up composed of John Lydon (lead vocals), Steve Jones (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Cook (drums) and of Glen Matlock (bass, backing vocals). The same line-up continues to be active nowadays. The first and the most successful active period of the band lasted from 1975 till 1978. During that time, the band also comprised Sid Vicious who replaced Matlock. The band is known to pioneer the punk culture in the UK and it has become one of the cult punk bands along with Sid Vicious who has become a punk icon. The band has released only one album but despite this fact, they are one of the most popular and controversive bands. The album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols features two their hit singles “Anarchy in the UK” and “God Save the Queen”.
