English musician John Simon Ritchie, better known as his stage name Sid Vicious was born on May 10, 1957 in London, England and died on February 2, 1979 in New York City, New York, the United States. He is primary known as the bassist of legendary punk rock band Sex Pistols. He was invited to join the band after the previous bass guitarist had left it. Vicious became almost the band’s frontman as his behavior attracted more audience than anything else. However, his contribution to the band’s music was minimal and he didn’t become a good bassist. Sometimes during the concerts, his bass guitar was switched off. After Sex Pistols had broken up, he decided to embark on a solo career. His girlfriend Nancy became his manager. He released only one album “Sid Sings”. From our site, you can download Sid Vicious’ only solo album in mp3.
