Biography

English rock band Siouxsie & the Banshees from London, England was formed in 1976. The founding members of the band were Siouxsie Sioux (vocals) and Steven Severin (bass guitar). The band faced many line-up changes so the founding members were remaining the core of the band during all its history. John Simon Ritchie (Sid Vicious) featured the first band’s line-up, but left them for Sex Pistols. The band released 11 studio albums and broke up in 1996 with a short reunion only in 2002. Since than they haven’t been seen performing together. At the beginning, the band was associated with British punk scene, but later they complicated their music incorporating elements of gothic and art-rock and experimenting with rhythm and sound. The band reached significant popularity with several consecutive Silver albums in the UK. You can download album The Best of Siouxsie & the Banshees in mp3 from our site.
