Biography

American old school hardcore and punk rock band Slapshot was founded in Boston, Massachusetts, the United States. The current line-up composes of Jack Kelly, John Bean, Craig Silverman and Chris Lauria. The band was founded in 1985 and the original members are Steve Risteen, Mark McKay, Jack Kelly and Jonathan Anastas. The band began their recordings quickly after the formation and the debut album Back on the Map was released next year. During their career, they have worked with Steve Albini, who is famous for his work with Nirvana and his membership in Big Black. They recorded with him their long play Unconsciousness. The band is also known to tour not only in the US, but in Europe as well. They toured there in 1994 and played 50 shows in 7 countries.
