Biography
Welsh rock band Stereophonics comes from Cwmaman, Wales, the UK. The band’s line-up composes of Kelly Jones, Richard Jones, Javier Weyler and Adam Zindani. The band was formed in 1992 but only in 1997 they could release their debut album. At first the band played in the local pubs and was highly influenced by AC/DC and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The professional music career began in 1997 when they were signed by V2 label. The debut album Word Gets Around became a real event in the UK. The band was called a mixture of rock and poetry with sincere romantic lyrics and rough vocals. This fusion made the group prominent and they won BRIT Awards in the nomination Best New Group.
