Biography

Steve Forbert is an American pop and folk music singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was born on December 13, 1955, in Meridian, Mississippi. He came to prominence in 1978 with his breakthrough first album, Alive on Arrival, which produced several hit singles such as "Goin' Down to Laurel", "Steve Forbert's Midsummer Night's Toast", "Thinkin'" and "What Kinda Guy?". In 1979, he released his most popular and successful album, Jackrabbit Slim, which spawned the hit, "Romeo's Tune" that reached number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album's other singles were "I'm In Love With You", "Say Goodbye To Little", "Wait" and "Make It All So Real". This album also received very good reviews from critics.
