Biography

British music band Talk Talk was formed in London in 1981, disbanded in 1991. The first members were Mark Hollis (vocals), Simon Brenner (keyboards), Lee Harris (drums) and Paul Webb (bass guitar). The band was associated with New Wave movement and was often compared to Duran Duran. However, band’s style was changing through the time and they can be labeled as art rock, post-rock (later period) and synth-pop (early time). The band reached the mainstream success in the middle of 1980s with their albums It’s My Life. The album spawned hit singles that charted in many countries including the US, the UK and many European ones. Other albums also had success, but not as big as their breakthrough album. Some of their singles are «Today», «Talk Talk», «It's My Life», «Such a Shame», «Dum Dum Girl», «Life's What You Make It» and «Living in Another World».
