Biography

Throwdown is an American metalcore and hardcore punk band that was founded in 1997 by Keith Barney, Tommy Love, Dom Macaluso and Marc Jackson. The band's current line-up comprises Dave Peters (guitars, lead vocals), Mark Choiniere (guitars) and Mark Mitchell (bass). They are well known for their participation in Ozzfest, Sounds of the Underground and Warped Tour along with the bands such as In Flames, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage and Korn. In 2007, they released their fifth and latest album, Venom & Tears, which produced several singles including "Holy Roller", "Day of the Dog", "S.C.U.M.", "Americana" and "Weight of the World". The album's musical style is considered as a combination of metal and hardcore punk with elements of groove metal.
