Biography

American rock band Train was formed in 1994 in San Francisco, California, the United States. The band was founded by Patrick Monahan and Rob Hotchkiss. The current members are Patrick Monahan (lead vocalist), Jimmy Stafford (lead guitarist) and Scott Underwood (drummer). The group released five studio albums. The debut self-titled album was released in 1998 independently. However, the second album Drops of Jupiter was released through Columbia Records. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in the United States. It was supported by a hit single "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)". The biggest band’s success to date is connected with their fifth album Save Me San Francisco. The album spawned a hit single "Hey, Soul Sister" that was certified 2 x Platinum in the United States.
