British punk band The Vibrators was formed in London, England in 1976. The first original lineup of the band composed of Ian “Knox” Carnochan (vocals, guitar), Pat Collier (bass), John Ellis (guitar) and of John “Eddie” Edwards (drums). The band reached success for the first time when Chris Spedding invited them to give live concertin the “Club 100” (First International punk festival) and then provided them a deal with his label RAK Records. The debut single “We Vibrate” was released via this label. The band went on tour with Iggy Pop (David Bowie featured on keyboards) and after the tour Vibrators signed to Epic Records and released their second single “Baby baby”. Now it is considered to be classics. Their next release was a debut album titled Pure Mania. It spent 5 weeks in Top 75 and peaked at #49.
