Antonio Vivaldi, birth name Antonio Lucio Vivaldi born on March 4, 1678 in Venice, and died on July 28, 1741 in Vienna was an Italian composer, priest and virtuoso violinist. Vivaldi is the greatest Italian violinist of the 18th century who could create a new manner of performance, he created also a genre of solo instrumental concert, influenced a lot on the development of the the virtuoso violin technique. He rose to fame during his lifetime though after his death he was forgotten and only in the 20th century there were attempts to release all his works. He is the author of almost 90 operas but they are still unknown to the major part of the public as opera houses don’t perform them. Vivaldi influenced a lot not only other Italian composers but foreigners as well mainly Germans, like Bach. From our site you can download Antonio Vivaldi’s most popular work Four Seasons in mp3.
