Vixen is an American hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal band that was formed in 1980 by guitarist Jan Kuehnemund and singer Janet Gardner and bassist Pia Maiocco (who later married guitarist Steve Vai). In 1985, they moved to Los Angeles, California to be part of the L.A. rock scene. In 1988 the band was signed to EMI, and they began recording their self-titled debut album. In 1989, the band was touring the world, supporting acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, and Bon Jovi, as well as headlining their own shows. The band currently consists of Jenna Sanz-Agero (lead vocals), Jan Kuehnemund (lead guitar, backing vocals), Lynn Louise Lowrey (bass, backing vocals) and Kathrin "Kat" Kraft (drums, backing vocals). They rose to fame with their breakthrough album, Rev It Up (1990), yielded several singles, "How Much Love", "Love Is a Killer" and "Not A Minute Too Soon".
