Biography

Yoko Ono is a Japanese-American avant-garde, rock, pop and electronica music artist and musician. She was born on February 18, 1933, in Tokyo, Japan. She came to international prominence as a wife of the English legendary rock musician John Lennon. In the late 1960s, they recorded their debut album, Unfinished Music No.1: Two Virgins, which was highly praised by critics. A year later, they released their following album, Unfinished Music No.2: Life with the Lions. In 1970, Ono released her debut solo album, Plastic Ono Band, which produced several singles such as "Why", "Why Not", "AOS", "Touch Me" and "Paper Shoes". It also contained the guest appearances of the members from conceptual band, Plastic Ono Band. Plastic Ono Band also reached number 182 on the Billboard 200.
